playing with the new phone
We've only had them for a couple of days now, but so far I'm really liking the new phones we got.
The camera is much better than the one on the previous model. This is a photo I took last night of the cat on the bed, lit only by the ambient light from a string of red rope lights we have running around the room at ceiling level:
And based on preliminary experiments, it seems to be possible to transfer files (MP3s, at least; haven't tried other formats yet) to the phone via Bluetooth - no proprietary oops-sorry-won't-run-on-Macs software from Verizon, no buying a specialty cable and installing and learning the intricacies of BitPim; just Bluetooth Menu → Our Computer → Browse/Get Files → done!
So I now have the MP3 of this on my phone:
