My my, it's been awhile.
I'm still in Victoria.
I'm living with Marlies (after a month of mooching bedspace at Eugene's).
I think I was kinda inspired to post by Lauren's post, particularly when she said that she still enjoys reading her friend's posts, but doesn't often post herself. Same here, so I thought that maybe I should give something back instead of the occassional comment.
Friends are such funny things. They come and they go, and some stick and some don't. It seems that my homelearning friends, whether or not we've stayed glued together at the hip or not, still stick, even if only by the littlest toe. It's kind of nice to know that there's still that point of contact that, depending on life, may just be the start of something again at some other point.
Victoria is becoming more and more home to me, something I would never have expected, somehow. I have friends here that I can call up just to chat, to come pick me up in the middle of the night if I'm stuck, who don't mind me coming into their house while they're not here to pick up my instruments to take them to my new place. I love it. I love that I have friends who are so many different kinds of artists, from dreadlocked Amazon director/cook/costume builders to long-haired Ukrainian lighting designers (OK, there's only one of those and he's definitely more than a friend) to beautiful classical violinists, insanely physical theatre nut writer/directors and crazy sculptors who party all night. And those are just the ones I've lived with (and admittedly, there's only one of each, pretty one-of-a-kind).
Hmmm, maybe this is why I never post anymore, I just ramble on about nothing.
This semester I'm taking: Acting, Theatre History, Intro to Design, Assistant Stage Management and VAMPIRES. I'm not in a show (yet) but I think I might be in a scene and quite possibly soon to be in Tears of a Dinosaur, appearing as Liz in a blonde-wig flashin' my titty. And I have capoeira ambitions.
I'm in love with a beautiful beautiful boy (had to say it twice, because it's true inside and out).
Come visit me!
