You know what sucks? When you get freakin' Bell's palsy!!!

A nerve in my right cheek is inflamed and therefore I have a hard time getting some of the muscles to perk up. My smile is crooked, I can't sneer to the right, I have a very awkward right wink and raising that eyebrow is suddenly a lot less dramatic than before.

It could be worse, it could all be completely paralysed, yuck. And 90% of the cases get better. However, while it'll probably be ok for stage work, no way will I ever be able to do any closeups in film like this. Film work = good pay, so that's rather shitty. And it had better get better.

In other news, while this was going on, I was at Hornby. Depsite the weather, it was good fun. Ev and I did some exercises one day and we were doing this particularly stupid looking one and I was counting to ten in a rather unquiet voice when I noticed two boys about our age walking by looking rather curious. I immediately dropped the pose and began laughing, while at the same time rolling over to knock Ev down so she wouldn't obliviously keep going. Anyways, that was the last time we attempted any of those.

We also viewed Spiderman 2, which really wasn't the best movie I've ever seen. Dad thought it was one of the worst he'd ever seen, which I think is a bit extreme. I thought it was very close to the sucking line, but hovering slightly above it.

We also went to a dance at which 6 hippie marimba bands played. Best comment by Ev:
"It feels like we're in a Disney movie. Can't you just imagine them playing turtles?!"

Sha-la-la-la my-oh-my! *mumble mumble* kiss zee girl...

Went for dinner at the Thatch, and that kinda sucked except that we saw Sensus. They were pretty good. The lead singer/rhythm guitarist had a neat guitar with the hole in the left shoulder instead of the middle. Tripped me out. And the other guitarist sometimes played this instrument that looked like an oversized mandolin, but I'm not sure. Kyle, any ideas? Is it actually just an oversized mandolin? Is there such a thing? Or maybe it was related to a bouzouki...

Anyone wanting to apply to the Sea Breeze should do so before January.

I'm scared of uni and residence and all the stuff and my books are expensive! And I'm really really excited, heh.

I leave on Sunday, so if you want to see me beforehand (you know, to give me the quilt square or something...Mika, yours is lovely) then comment or call, 'cause I'd probably like to see you! I'm going dancing on Saturday, for those who want to come and I'd like some of you that don't want to come even to come.

Luvs,
K
