Right, so I think I pretty much stopped at Saturday night with the fireworks. Oooh, pwetty.
Next day, my parents took Becca and I to Seattle! For the last day of the exchange! This meant no watching movies with Duncan at his house, but, hey, Seattle only has an exchange once a year and that was the last day!
Got down there a bit before 4pm to go to the outdoors dance. It was fun, danced with the guys a bit, saw Lucy and Jos. Got to dance with Myles (who I'd danced with before) but I think that he was the only dancer who was from out of town that I'd danced with. Sorry, it was hot and I was tired... But, being in Seattle, there were Starbuckses everywhere, and after the dance Becca and I went to one of those. There we ran into Seattle dancer Matt, who I hadn't danced with yet (but made Becca), although I had danced with him when I was there in May. Mmm that had been a beautiful night. Anyways, we ended up walking over to the next dance with him (there was sellout possibility, so we wanted to get there early) and also went for dinner at this little Mexican joint near there with him.
Teehee. Becca can't whistle! Hoot, hoot! (Becca, I hope you are reading this, it would amuse me greatly) We tried to teach her, but it was so funny and fruitless, I am still giggling about it.
We also decided that we must be very dirty girls. We kept shocking Matt it seemed, even though we did say we were joking (Becca he does NOT think you are really some huge slut. I know, he's mistaken, but we can tell him the truth later). We also seem to say bitch a lot, 'cause he asked, he was like, "You guys say bitch a lot, is that a Canadian thing...?" *laughs*
Anywhos, we got to the dance and it was pretty good. The only thing was that it was a) quite crowded and b) while the band was good, tempo-wise they often had it wrong. One really fast, one really slow and so on. It was still fun though, and I had some good dances.
There was a bit of a scurry about the late-night. None of us (the boys Becca and I) had rides and Becca and I were rather worried about all this, 'cause apparently the late night had been selling out and was also rather far away. Luckily, while I was dancing with Kane I told him this and he said that, since he wasn't going to late night, he'd give me his wristband. That meant that a) I didn't have to pay, even though I wouldnt've minded that and, more importantly, b) I would have a guaranteed spot!
Anyways, Becca got a ride that was early enough and I got a ride a bit later and the dancing was SO good! Danced with people from everywhere, and later on in the night I was just going all out with my footwork and felt just so hot.
I've noticed that when I've been in Seattle, and it's always been a special event so that probably has something to do with it, but, when I ask people to dance, they tend more to say "Yes." (often with an exclamation point) than something like, "OK" or "Sure." Both of which I am guilty of, but I'm going to start trying to usually say "Yes." because it feels like the other person really wants to dance with YOU and it's just so nice. *grins happily*
Anyways, we danced until about 5:30 AM and then crashed at our friend's until about 10:30. Slept most of the way back into town.
Next day I was sleeping at 11 when Kyle called to talk to me. I love when people call to talk to me, heh. Anyways, so we talked, and since I was leaving the next day and he probably wasn't going to be at the show that night *cries* we got together for late lunchiness, as in, 4pm. It was fun. I had sushi. Doesn't sushi just SOUND fun? Sushi, sushi, suuuuuushi. Yeah. So anyways, we walked around and we talked around. Kyle persisted in being sick, which sucked, so he didn't come, but Becca came and picked me up and she did.
Heh, so I told Becca, "If you want to dress like a slut, this is the night to do it, at least wear fishnets." And, well, she didn't. And well, the rest of us did. SO MUCH FUN!!!!! Front row! Pics're coming, I took a couple of myself when I got home 'cause I forgot the batteries for my camera when we went. Sabrina, Miranda, Nina, Emma, Connor and Virginia (and others) all came and we had a total blast! Miranda was gonna come as Eddie until the binding was kinda problematic. Sabrina was in very little black lingerie, Nina had the hottest black and red outfit thing with an awesome corset. I must just face up to facts and spend the money on a gorgeous corset. Of course, I know that will simply lead to an expensive obsession with buying gorgeous corsets but, mmmm... Emma was also wearing another corsety top of Nina's that was quite kinky. Oh, and, back to the actual show, the Narrator pulled Becca and I up front to do the Time Warp! So glad I dressed up and was able to jump about in my heels.
Oh, note: guys in drag = fucking hot.
Frank that night = fucking hot.
Way I felt that night = fucking hot.
So now Becca is all into it (yay!) and we must go kinky lingerie shopping in preparation. I have a plan for Halloween in Vic: Get permission and get myself into a panto cast for RHPS! I wanna be Columbia, heh. YAY!
Anyway, the next day was spent doing nothing but flying, and I met Max! Will post pics when I can, he's SO CUTE! Has a little halo of golden curls, and is very energetic, very smart. Hehe, at the airport he was always asking why and my cousin, theodore, his dad, would answer, "why not?" So they'd go, "why?"
"why not?"
"why?"
"why not?"
"WHY?!"
"why not?"
*Shrug* "why not."
"why?"
!!! Theodore's such a brat, teehee.
Anyways, today was mostly spent lazing around. Also watched a Hard Day's Night with Max, although he fell asleep on Leo, and I took pics 'cause it was SO adorable.
I'm reading a book I found here (zillions of books, my uncle used to be a librarian, they're kinda his obssession...) called Night Soldiers. Very good, I really like the writing style. Lyrical where it needs to be, or edgy, and written almost in a casual sense, since I have no other way to describe it. It's about a guy from Bulgaria, and he's just gotten to the USSR. Takes place in the 30s and goes till about 1945.
So yah... heh. It's kinda late here, but I'm still really awake. Stupid time zoneness. Poihaps I shall attempt to go to sleep soonish...
Oh, and it's only about 10 or 11 there, why aren't you people online!?!?!
Luvs,
K
