SPN 5x22 reaction post, because my mind has been officially blown...

Okay firstly can I say how much I love this show and cannot get enough of it, and how I will be purchasing every novella over the summer just to keep myself going until the next season starts...!

Secondly, OMFG! I can't decide whether I want to fuck or kill Eric Kripke after watching that finale...!

- The Impala!love was pure genius - when it first started, I was actually just like 'WTF is going on? Has my stream fucked up?' but it was so cleverly done.
I love SPN but they don't really shake up the format of episodes very often - it's very much just: evil thing happens, Sam and Dean fight said evil thing, it dies, the end - add a few angsty moments in there and you've got yourself an episode. So for them to change the style of it like this, interspersing the action with random Impala history, was really cool, and I felt worked really well; only wish they'd done this more over the years.

- I really liked how Bobby and Cas did the farewell thing but Dean didn't; I don't think they could ever quite get right what should be said between them so it sort of worked. Plus, Cas' response was full of LULZ.

- Sam telling Dean not to watch him drink the blood - really glad they did this; by not showing it, it meant it wasn't such an 'omg' moment and so didn't revert to season 4 style - you could still sympathise with Sam even though he had drunk the blood, unlike in S4.

- The scene between Sam, Dean and Lucifer was interesting, and I couldn't help but have an 'omg' moment when he finally said yes.

- The mirror scene between Sam and Lucifer was a bit too cliche for my taste - I understand there's not really many other ways they could've staged this, but that effect of using mirrors has been done so many times in television and film that it was just a bit annoying really.

- Cas' response to Dean's 'what do we do now?' was epic - loved him in this episode, his lines were pure brilliance!

- I liked the idea of Lucifer begging Michael not to have the fight - it was clever; and also, just that small scene between the two of them, I think was really important - considering the whole season had been about that moment in particular - was just a nice touch I felt.

- Dean turning up the car/the car/the music - total class! Song was a weird choice but still loved it - was just pure Dean!

- Holy Fire Molatov Cocktails!! =D=D

- Cas blowing up - holy mofo that was gross even for SPN.

- Lucifer noticing the army soldier in the door: you knew something like that was going to happen at the end involving the car, but that worked well - it was such a simply thing, but was really effective. love.

- When Michael turned up again after Sam had made the 'hole to hell' again - I was actually screaming at the TV "jump you bastard jump!" and I loved the twist that Michael fell in with him, didn't see that coming.

- Dean going back to Lisa like Sam said - so cute. I'm still on the fence about the whole Lisa thing; felt they should've included her more over the seasons or at least mentioned her once or twice, just so that it made more of an important when Dean initially went back to her a few episodes ago.

- Chuck disappearing - OMFG!! Do we think he's really God?

- Sam at the end - is he Sam or is he Lucifer?!?

OH THE QUESTIONS THE QUESTIONS! ! !

So overall, I l.o.v.ed it! BUT...and there's always a but: it did very much have the feel that the final minute or two had been tagged on just to leave room for the sixth season (which it obv had been). Personally I would've been fairly happy with this as the final series ending.
