I do have a question, though. Janelle mentions a tear on her fur. How does she know the fur is on her face? I understand she would feel the claws, but wouldn't they try to cover her arms so she wouldn't see how much she's changed in order to prevent a freak-out session?
*puts on nursing student hat* Janelle is restrained from head to toe, but when a patient is restrained, it's crucial to keep the patient as calm as possible. Sedation is one way, which Janelle obviously is to a point, but another factor is removing upsetting elements from the patient's room or view, kinda like covering up a surprise amputee's body part until the doctor can talk to them.
Also, when a patient is restrained, they must be looked in on by a nurse ever 10-15 minutes. Well, that's an OBRA thing, and I doubt this crew is very OBRA (or PETA lmao!) observant, but just throwing that out there for you. ;-)
I can't wait to read more, though! If you have any more hospital questions, let me know come August. I'll have a stack of nursing books at my disposal and will be happy to share what I can with you. :-)
