I learned today that a knit sweater doesn't cut it on a very cold night. At least... not until you're numb.

I spent almost an hour lost on campus, but since it's a big forest, I spent the time playing Outlaw of Sherwood. And eventually made it to FRL, obviously, but mostly ran round the forest half-naked playing Outlaw. And by "half-naked" I mean jeans and an undershirt, cos once I got numb I was too hot, so, y'know, with the crazy. Anyway that was fun.

Mostly it occurred to me that this might be fun because I've been watching the BBC's Robin Hood. It really is hilarious and wonderful. Keith Allen is fantastic. That man is evil incarnate, unadulterated, unapologetic evil. (Obviously I don't mean he actually *is*, but that he plays the role very well.) That's the thing that makes it so wonderful; I don't care that at points the boys are essentially wearing sweatshirts, every character is so well acted (except children, and that doesn't matter because the point is that they're innocent and helpless) and developed. (Except Kate. I'm not sure I like Kate at all.)

Anyway. It's bedtime. Two final notes to self---
