On Monday morning, I went to work to find a little black dog in one of the kennels in the office. I asked about him, and my co-worker said his owner, who was elderly, had died, and his wife wanted nothing to do with him anymore. He needs drops for his eyes and she just couldn't handle doing that. He's so beautiful :') I hate it when old, but healthy pets are put to rest, just because people seem to only want puppies.

He looks a little like my old dog, who lived to be 18 (her own mother lived to be 21), so if he's healthy, you'll no doubt have him for a long, happy time :D

He's a delightful little guy and has been zero trouble. I hope we have him for a few years at least.

I just couldn't see the logic. "Let him be with his owner." Yeah because that's YOUR guilt speaking! He shouldn't have to die just because he's not a little bouncy puppy. Not while I'm here he's not!

He's house trained, quiet, well mannered, and a little sweetheart. I couldn't bear to see him put down because of his age.

Everyone says I'm crazy, but this is what I do.

Seems like such a waste! The poor dog has no one and its not fair to put him down just because his owner is a bitch! Im glad hes fitting in well with the family!

He's been zero trouble since he stepped in the door. Even Lucky is getting over herself. See? I told you it'd be fine. ;)

Aw thanks. I just couldn't let that happen to a dog who's otherwise healthy besides he has eye trouble, (and what dog at 12 doesn't?)

Thanks hon. :) Everyone said I was being selfish, but I knew he'd be no trouble at all. And he's not. He's a great old guy.
