I am sorry, little bear but I just can’t comment on the last scene. I was crying like a child and I couldn’t stop. You wrote it before and there is such love and hope here I just can’t say anything at all right now. It’s all truth, all your thoughts! It’s just you extrapolated on her your thoughts but her own were and are different. I may comment later but right now it’s kinda hard to do. I try to separate RL and fiction but all I can hear now is your voice not Dahlia’s or Cara’s. I am sorry. I’ll do it later when I will be ready to talk about the fiction and will be able to separate it from the RL.
I only will tell you that you did a marvelous and very convincing job in the Cara’s breaking. I think that she is very close to admitting her regret and to be able to open her heart.
I loved every bit of the scene even sometimes I am not completely agreed with your statements. I loved every little detail: when Dahlia briefly encouraging and apologetically touches Kahlan, when Cara struggles trying to sit up, when Dahlia feeds Cara, when Dahlia tells her why she is breaking her!
