Over at
oz_big_bang, we're gearing up for the second annual Boom, Boom, Baby! and we've just posted
a poll trying to gauge how much interest there is from writers and readers for including stories written in languages other than English. We tossed this idea around a bit last year, but there was some hesitation and concern about whether we had enough time and interest to pull it off.
We'd love to be able to offer this opportunity this year, so if you'd be interested in writing, reading or creating art for Oz fanfic in a language other than English, PLEASE come over and take
the poll and talk to us in the post comments a bit about how we can get you involved. We also will be looking for a support network - beta readers, translators, etc. - for any writers who choose this route, so if you're interested in that or if you know of anywhere else we could find resources, we'd really appreciate hearing from you.
The challenge will run over the course of about six months - about four months for writers and another two for artists - and really kicks off in May. We look for stories that are at least 25,000 words and match them up with artists to illustrate them.
The poll is
here. Go, take it!
Also, please signal boost, if you know of anywhere/anyone else who might be interested.
