another batch o' stuff

Snowpocalypse II ensured a snow day today, which I pissed away without getting much done on the writing tip, but what I did do - besides laundry, and making chili from dried beans and scratch, and finally organizing the tangled mess of leftover Christmas ribbons and bows and wrapping paper that's been lying around in a heap in the spare room - was some mindless coding and uploading, so there's more stuff up at AO3, including a lot of small, fiddly things.

pop
The Man Within Me - There's one thing you need to know/You rock my world 'cause you're so/Beautiful. My contribution to Now or Never: The Nick Carter Songfic Challenge, for track 9: "Miss America." Nick/JC. Cross-dressing and vague genderfuckery, although not of the magical-realist "turns into a girl" variety.
... In Bed - A decade of a developing relationship, as told through interpretive dance and fortune cookies. JC/Justin.
Nostalgia - JC can see the boy Justin used to be. Drabble.
Equations - Bus school math is different. JC/Justin. Drabble.

Oz
Bet Your Life - Vaguely O'Reily/Beecher, pre-series. Drabble.

lotrips
Received Pronunciation - Sean's memories, like insects trapped in amber. Sean Bean and Hugo Weaving and reincarnation. UST-y and sort of experimental.
Binding - Some days Sean feels his age. Astin. Drabble.
Reflection - There's something of Theoden in Bernard. Bernard/Viggo UST. Drabble.

LOTR
By the Falls of Rauros - Aragorn's promise holds true. Drabble.

King Arthur (2004 movie)
Waergon - Knifeplay. Bloodplay. Dagonet/Tristan.
Sanguinary - Sometimes, you think you could take him right on the battlefield, right in the blind, staring face of death, ignoring the bodies around you. Gawain/Galahad and the aftermath of battle.

due South
Snowfall - A Ray/Ray snowball fight. Drabble.

SGA
A handful of finished sections in the WIP descansos series, AKA the Wall story, chronicling the deaths of the Atlantis expedition. Includes
descanso ii. shovel them under and let me work - Reed, Miller and Stackhouse, for the nameless pair of soldiers in "The Storm/The Eye."
descanso iii. although my breathing ceases, time and tide go on - Miko, for Dr. Gall and Dr. Abrams in "The Defiant One."
descanso iv. the flowers left thick at nightfall in the wood - Katie Brown, for the scientists in "Hot Zone."
descanso vi: and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air - Collins, for Markham and Smitty in "The Brotherhood."
descanso viii: on your lips my life is hung - Teyla Emmagan, for the dead of "Seige 1, 2, 3."

Meanwhile, I'm amusing myself by periodically checking the hit-count battle between Honeybee and Something to Talk About ... and O-HO. "Honeybee" just edged "Something To Talk About" for the very first time since they went up. Also, I am interested to note that Not a Boy (Not Yet A Man) has been one of the most popular installments of the 5x5 lotrips boyband series, which is not at all what I would have expected ... although I fear my description of it as vaguely GSF-y clusterfuckery may be an influence there, and is really too much of a tease for what it actually delivers on, although I tried to mitigate it with the "PG" descriptor.

Currently working on coding and cleaning up my Oz "Solace" series stories to upload, although I don't know if I'll get them up tonight because apparently I've turned into a lightweight and have been knocked on my ASS by two and a half glasses of wine. This will not stop me from having one more glass, but it may prevent much more actual productivity. We'll see.

And fuck me. It's snowing out there again.
