Yeah, I think I'm going to have to actually write that Tim/Sean piece - it keeps niggling at my brain. I'm glad you like the idea. :g: I think I may have come up with a plausible twist for it, although it still might be a stretch for the "something is not what it seems" flashfic - hopefully, no one will mind.
Ryan and Beecher are constantly finding reasons to be all up on each other in S1. That scene with the heroin snorting off of Ryan's hand is usually the tipping point for me, when I finally go "Guh!" and start wandering around on the 'Net, trying to find more Toby/Ryan stories. And Ryan's all about protesting too much, particularly when he lies about being clean. One of the things I find interesting about Ryan in S1, before he gets on his subsequent Gloria kick, is that he seems more aware of how he can use his attractiveness on other men - he clearly, clearly knows that Adebisi keeps eyeing his ass, and he doesn't get defensive about it. He jokes about it and sort of flirts back and, I think, uses it to his advantage.
I missed seeing their relationship in subsequent seasons.
Oh god, me too. I've been saying for years that I think the distance put between them in S2 was artificial and not well done, and obviously a way of softening them both up for the Gloria and Keller storylines. One of the things I've always wanted to write, actually, was an alternate S2 where they were still close, and how the events of S2 would play out then.
