The 2Rays index is in the process of a (fairly extensive) update: new Ray/Ray story links, new meta links, updates to the F/K/V wing and the wing for visual stuff - including an F/K/V vid. Now, who's making me a Ray/Ray vid, y'all

About a week ago I sent you an e-mail to lexac@mail.com with some questions concerning F/K/V list. I'm guessing you didn't get it or you are MIA 'cause I haven't got an answer yet. Just in case you'll see this comment, here's the copy/pasted text of that e-mail:
Dear Lexa_c!
I believe we've never conversed personally before but I know of you because of our shared love of 2Rays. :) My lj name is viciouscats, you may or may not noticed me and my love of compiling different master lists of dS fanfiction. Just in case, here the link: http://viciouscats.livejournal.com/tag/master+lists
The reason I'm writing you is because I'm in somewhat awkward situation and want your opinion and, if possible, a pardon. Here's the situation. Back in January I started compiling a master list of Fraser/Kowalski/Vecchio stories. The process was kind of slow, I started and finished several other thematic lists along the way. The list was about 90% done by March when I found out that such list (yours) already exists. I had known, of course, about your awesome 2Rays index but the existence of your F/K/V list had somehow completely escaped me previously. I'm stupid like that sometimes. :) Had I known about your list before I wouldn't have started my own (why duplicate someone else's work?). As it is, I still finished my list and it sits privately locked in my lj since April. And eventually I did check out your list and found 3 new for me fics there.
On a side note, I'd like mention that our lists have a different organization system. Yours is great for finding stories by the author, mine is sorted by title and has short descriptions of fics, so it's handy for finding stories by basic plot.
All this time I was thinking what to do with that list. I use it myself regularly when I want to reread some F/K/V story but should I make it public? And so on. These past 3 months I was pretty busy with some other projects but right now it all kind of died down and I have time to finally decide what to do. I was reluctant about making the list public for several reasons. I don't want it to seem like I plagiarised your list (and first and foremost I don't want *you* to think that). Plus I don't want to steal a part of attention (however small that part might be) from *your* work.
So, here's the question. :) Would you have any objections to me making my F/K/V list public? If you wouldn't mind, then I'll make a note on my post explaining the situation, acknowledging that I found several stories through your list and providing a link to your F/K/V list. But if you *have* objections, please, feel free to tell me about them. I'll understand and will leave my list private.

Hey, hi! I'm sorry about the lag in responding to this - I can't find the original email in my inbox. It may have been shunted into my bulk mail folder and deleted before I had a chance to go through and make sure everything in there actually was spam. That happened to my mom a couple of times before I figured out what was going on and put her address on the "OK" list - there's nothing like having your mother call and want to know why you're ignoring her emails. :g:
Anyway, in answer to your question, no, I don't have any objection at all to your list being public - that sounds like a fantastic resource, being able to find things by plot. You may even have started putting together your list before I broke the F/K/V stories out on their own - it's only been two or three updates ago that I did so. They used to just be buried listed in the main list with a paranthetical (FKV) after the title; moving them to their own section was the first thing I did to try to cut down on the size of the main-list post.
So, yeah, post away.
And OH MY GOD! You've got AU, Smithbauer and Volpe lists! I ... may have just lost the rest of my day to reading fic.
