I've been typing up another rant, this one about the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as a little info on recent events in my own life. My thoughts are a bit too scattered right now, and I'm just plain tired, so I'll post it in the morning. I'll give you this though, I got my volunteer papers from Habitat for Humanity today. How exciting! I'm still not allowed to use power tools or ladders though. Damn you 18! Why can't you be closer to 17?! The Peace Corps doesn't want anything to do with me for a while either, it seems. Oh well. Salutations and goodnight to everyone.

If I were to broaden my definition of "this country's founders" enough to state that it was they who added "Under God" to the Pledge, than I could just as easily state that "this country's founders" assembled model-Ts and flew in F-16s.

Oh, and by the way, did anyone hear about that little orbital (Reagen-era Star Wars style) missile-shield weapons platform that Bush is budgeting for? $53.1 billion over the next 5 years, $10.2 billion next year. It's funny that so much money is being given to developers for a defense against weapons that aren't being used by enemies of the US. Ah well. It's not like it's my money. Oh wait.
