About an hour’s drive away from stavanger is Manafossen, literally translated as the “Moon Waterfall”. It’s also the highest waterfall in Rogaland, the region of stavanger and its surroundings.

Alan and I went on a rather cloudy day, a break in what seemed like a week’s worth of rain.  It was a pretty short but steep 30 minute walk up the hill to reach the best viewpoint and all of the recent rain had made it even more spectacular!

I’m slowly taking making my way around most of Stavanger’s local attractions. I’ve also been to Preikestolen, which is Norway’s most visited natural attraction. I have some good photos which I shall post up another time.
