and back on vaction. i'm off for the next 2 weeks or so before classes start again. i got an A in my class this summer so once again i'm off the hook. one thing that i'm pretty good at with regards to school is that i know how to get through something. there will be times when i'm close to getting kicked out but i always end up alright in the end.
so i have a little time off and then there are the orientation meetings. i'm kind of excited to go to these because now i'm an old school TA and will hopefully harrass the newbies. right now i'd say there is a 5% of staying here and getting my PhD. i'm going to take the two classes i need to take and another one that will let me take the qualifiers for the PhD program. i'm not sure if i would be able to pass those or not. to think of 4 to possibly 7 more years here is too much for me to handle but on the other hand, it would be cool to get a PhD in math.
