World AIDS Day: for Freddie;
well, it's AIDS Awareness day, and what can i say that i haven't already in my journal before? that it's a horrible disease that people think only effects bad people or just doesn't effect them at all? that people love to overlook this disease as an important issue because it's not worth their time?
ever since i loved Queen, i was very involved with AIDS awareness, but i do have to admit, i didn't really do anything about it before. but i didn't KNOW anything about how terrible AIDS is; i didn't ignore it, either. i remember wearing red ribbons all through middle school, and nearly one person a day ask "what's that?" and telling them about AIDS awareness, and thinking "hey. one more person knows now!" it felt really good.
i've wrote about this many times before, and i know everyone of you know how serious this is. i really hope more people acknowledge this and take it serious before many more people are taken under by AIDS. freddie was the one who got my attention, hopefully he'll (or i'll) be the reason for someone else's attention.
