As usual, lewis_challenge is excited to use the approaching Valentine’s Day as an excuse to celebrate the loveliness of Lewis fandom. Thus, we are thrilled to present...
I'm going to get us started with a fic rec for a story by an author who doesn't seem to write in the Lewis fandom anymore, but who wrote a couple of cracking things for us in 2012. The story is On Demand by Isagel - a fic that I've ready many times.
What's strange for me is that it's about watersports - not something that I have any interest in in real life, or have enjoyed reading about in other fics in other fandoms. In fact, I read On Demand for the first time because I had been lurking around the fandom and binge reading fics to the point where there was pretty much nothing else left for me to read - and I'm so glad that I gave it a go. It's gorgeously written, the author portrays Robbie and James and their developing relationship beautifully, and also, through this lovely story, I've come to understand a bit about a kink that I had no appreciation of before.
So, if you find yourself thinking "watersports and Lewis - I don't think so!" - it might be time to reconsider :-)
Hee, well we thought so, feel free to pimp and encourage others to participate :)
Oh and thank you for the rec. I've just gone to read it was completely caught. Watersports isn't a kink of mine, but not a massive squick either, but bathroom control (not being allowed to go) really is so I was surprised not to feel uncomfortable reading it. Which says good things about the author. I can be a bit picky about d/s fic because sometimes the psychological side is not addressed at all but it's handled really well here. Goes to leave feedback to the author :)
I'd like to share some love for the people whose actions make the day very much brighter for the creators of fanworks - those thoughtful people who take the trouble to leave feedback and comments on fic, artwork, podfic and other creations. While we don't create purely for feedback, and of course have no right to expect that people will leave comments, it really does make my day, certainly, to go to my LJ or to AO3 and see that someone has left a comment on one of my fics.
So thank you! Your efforts and thoughtfulness are very much appreciated :)
Here, here! I totally add my voice to this. Especially now when fandom is moving from LJ to other platforms, there's been somewhat of a decline in commenting so every one is received with glee!
Thirded! Comments are lovely, as are kudos. I write because otherwise the stories won't leave my head, but it's nice to know that it's appreciated by others.

...to share some love for our wonderful mods here on lewis_challenge, kat_lair and pushkin666, for all the hard work they put into making this community such a great place for Lewis fans: moderating fic and fanwork exchanges and organising events such as these. Thanks to your efforts, there's not only additional great fanworks for us to enjoy, but a wonderfully welcoming space.

2. James' father refused to allow him to attend Hogwarts. He was finished with all that after his witch of a wife went back to her people.
And because you have to have three:
3. James comes into his Veela inheritance.
