Hello Everyone,
Just a reminder that posting for
lewis_challenge begins tomorrow, hope you are all ready and excited! Make sure to check the
Posting Schedule so you know when you're supposed to be posting.
Posting Guidelines
Please adhere to these posting guidelines as we will ask you to edit your posts if this is not the case.
Q: Where can I post my fanwork?
A: Anywhere you like as long as you post here with a link to the fanwork and provide appropriate header information.
Q: I want to post my fanwork directly to this community, not just link to it. Can I do that?
A: Yes. However, if you are posting directly to the community, please remember to place all fanworks under a cut. Things outside the cut should only include header information, and any 'teaser' quotes/small graphics.
Q: Hold on, it sounds like you're saying I can't post my 200 icons/wallpaper/other large item outside a cut.
A: Yeah, that's exactly what we're saying. Please exercise common sense and consideration and place any large items under a cut/behind a link. You can include up to three icons as a sample or a small thumbnail graphic as a teaser.
Q: How about that header information you mentioned?
A: Required header information for fic posts:
Title:
Characters/Pairing:
Genre: e.g. AU/case fic/romance/pwp
Rating:
Wordcount:
Warnings:
Prompt: If you are filling a specific prompt please include it and the prompter's name here.
Summary:
Feel free to also include e.g. standard disclaimer or any additional author notes as well.
Required header information for other fanworks:
This is less strict but feel free to adapt the fic header to suit your needs. However, you must still indicated if you are filling a specific prompt and provide warnings if applicable.
Q: What rating system should I use?
A: The two systems typically used for fanfics are the
MPAA and
Fiction Ratings, either of those is fine.
Q: What should I warn for?
A: As per standard fandom practice, things that you must warn for include character death, rape/non-con, under-age sex, graphic violence, specific sexual kinks and anything else you think might be triggering/offensive/problematic. Do not be an idiot and "warn" for slash or het as neither are things that need warning for and the 'Pairing' information should tell the reader everything they need to know about that.
Q: I still have a burning question about posting/the challenge/Hathaway's underwear that you have not answered, what should I do?
A: Ask and ye shall be answered. Unless it's about Hathaway's underwear which is one of the great mysteries of our time (I reckon boxer briefs myself though).
Finally: HAVE FUN! ROLL AROUND IN NEW LEWIS RELATED FANWORKS! REMEMBER TO LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR THE CREATORS!
