Watched Batman: Under the Hood last night and man, I loved it to bits. The animation is great, I love the dialogue, I love the script and agree with those who said the movie gives the resurrection of Jason a better explanation than the canon. I really liked how both him and Bruce were presented, Ras was an intriguing figure, and Dick was absolutely adorable. Hell, I even tolerate the Joker in here.
EDIT: and yes I forgot to mention how we giggled like idiots when Jason is giving Bruce his angsty speach about him not having killed the Joker and he mentions the "friends he had crippled" *fangirls* XDDD;;;
The only thing that leaves me 'duh' is.. why having jason wear Tim's latest costumes when he died? It's a confusing detail and an unnecessary change. As ridicolus as it is, Robin's classic costume is quite iconic, we can deal with a sub-adult in shortpants. Sort of.
Then, we watched some bits of JLU episodes and there was Trickster in one and he was depicted as a crazy guy, but the mentally disabled and sort of helples kind of crazy. And I actually angsted quite a bit about it, because it was an alternative reading that struck me more than I wished it did and plot bunnies are running around my head looking quite confused after a bullet was shot in their brain. They also wear an embarassing striped costume and their fellow musician bunny is taking care of them out of unspoken love even though they are permanently brain-damaged. I'll take care of fic if I'd ever have time and/or inspiration for it in the next future.
Wally was any kind of adorableness, on a side-not-so-side note.
Tonight there was rumours in the house and I guess it was a mouse visiting us. I won't have that big problem with that - seems like everyone in Amsterdam has at least one mouse in the house and nobody gives a shit - if it wasn't for the rumor waking me up. I have a quite light sleep on average, I woke up twice and turn on the light to scare it away while kit was still half-asleep and sort of muttering whatthehellleaveitaloneandgobacktosleepalready...
Oh well, hope it's gone - or otherwise that Mysterious Cat Passing By The Window Everynight takes care of it.
