- As I'm struggling to get my lab job a little less frustrating, I was caressing the idea of an illustrate rewriting of the history of life on Earth. One of the most common distortions you find in the usual 'tale of the nature for the masses' is the conflictual, liberal market reading key in wich things are presented. Basically, it seems like the only propelling force of evolution is different organisms trying to screw each other quickier, that is inaccurate and suits some of man's dumbest ideas; overshadowing symbiosis and mutualism with the more anthropomorfic theme of 'ruthless competition' make the animals look dumber and makes the man feel more legitimate in being an assholes to his pals. We are used to this, but we can do better. I'm gonna ponder more over it and see if I am able to tell a story of love, instead of a story of war. The other side of natural history that is based on the co-evolution rather than in conflict.
We are here because a big flagellate cell and a small phosphorilating one one day decided they could do better than eat/infect the other and started to live together. (If you are wondering what the heck I'm babbling about, have a Wiki link for starters)

- The course on writing a scientific manuscript I had to attend last thursday was better then expected. It teaches you some interesting things about the way human mind is inclined to receipt informations that are quite intuitive but that strikes you ina more effective way if explained this way.

- Watched Sherlock Holmes and LOL FELL ASLEEP DURING THE CHASE ON THE TOWER BRIDGE WHAT A SHAME!! quite liked it. In a 'uhm.. cute.' kind of like. Not impressed, not that curious about the actuall canon, but able to get at least half of a clue when people are talking about it. And yeah, we are still shipping Watson/Pepper, btw.. XDD

- I've... decided what kind of tattoo I want: a stylized arrow tip on my neck. Okay, the obvious fandom bias is obvious and highly laughabale, but there's so much more to it than this. I've always been sure of the position, and when I was younger, I wanted a blue star there. But then I've kind of.. outgrown it and never found something that appealed me in the right way. This does, and having found it in this particular moment of my life, that I find myself a bit demotivated and uncertain about a lot of things, charges me with a positive feeling. Aim straight to the future, and shot! =)

- Might try to get some stuff written later on the day. The ridicolousness of Titans #23 might have cured for good my writer's block. All I want to remember from that epic piece of crap is "naked" and Roy implicitly saying that Kyle is a pansy. XD

dcu, my pantheon is collapsing, lab stuff
