I fly like paper, get high like planes!
Tomorrow afternoon I venture out in the open sky for home (Eagle Point, Or). I will be airborne for an hour and a half flight... if that. I hate flying, with a fiery passion of a thousand suns! I have had anxiety since I called to make the flight yesterday. Lo will be giving me a happy chill pill, and I will hit the local Seatac bars while awaiting my flight.
"Well you know, that it is safer to fly than to drive, right?" I do indeed know this, and I disagree. I feel more in control when I drive. However, I sold my car. Bum out! Also, I feel like I have traveled around the world and flown so much that my time to be a so-called statistic is near. I always talk myself onto the flight, steal a blanket, cover my head, and pretend that the wheels never leave the ground. This time I will try to divert my attention through entertainment. My IPOD!
As I was discussing my hatred for the "friendly skies", and how turbulence freaks me the fuck out, a certain song came on. It was Falling In Love by NOFX! One of my favorites! The lyrics are as follows:
"Blast oxygen masks, smoke filled cabin

The thought of losing life, and loved ones, and my happy little life that I have created on my own saddens me. I know deep down that I will be fine. And I will see you all on Saturday, but please pray for me! I am sweating bullets!
