Sometimes I get horrible urges for fic. Like, I think, What if Patrick lost his hearing. Deaf. Deaf Patrick. And then I hate myself because I could never do that to the guy, so I'm never writing it, but at the same time I have this morbid urge to go find a fic where an author has, just to watch him deal with it.
Similar worst-case-scenario things in other fandoms. I just always say, what if, and then back the hell away tosave myself imaging the sheer angst.
