Billy thinks maybe the kid’s getting in over his head.

Because he’s not, like, in full out-and-out ohshit love, but not yay-for-casual-hookups distant, either.

He’s getting… invested.

Investiture and boundaries. Messy things, them. Not going to Stanford and all, clinging to his control. Billy is kind of a bitch.

And he has his overblown ego, like Dean. So. Well.

(And Ganymede was actually Zeus’s especial friend, but was that an artistic decision? Because Dionysus does have more bearing on the context and Sam could just be addled.)

“Sam’s like the best pre-law student ever.” LOL, excuse my French…

“So he follows Billy in circles around the city and washes up on his hotel bed…”
I love that. With the bit about all three of them circling the drain before. Just right.

“So Billy wobbles out of bed and into the bathroom and upchucks his actual gallbladder, he knows that’s what it is, it’s all purple and wobbley and a bladder full of gall.” I love that. Although he seems to retain the gall well enough until they get to the fight… which is just beautiful. So inane and sad and I adore “because they really don’t know each other well enough to cut deeper than paper” out of all mind.

Ay, and Dean will show back up in his invisible way…
