This Weekend
was amazing. Thought I missed some fun times on thursday only to learn I made it home in time for a second round.
Friday Cohee was spinning at Tonic with Mark Oliver, resident DJ at The Guvernment up in Toronto we got there around 11:15 to watch Cohee go from 11:30-12:30 at which point Marc Oliver - Came on and spun a truly badass set, I havent been enjoying the club scene as much as I used to but this night was just rediculous amounts of fun. While there I ran into this craaazy serbian chick from senior seminar who turned out to be mad cool, and some random girl from campus, that I could have sworn was in one of my classes, but she wasnt ;)
Afterwards Saad had an after party at his place and all the DJ's showed up, including Mark Oliver :). Who is a freaking awesome guy, like rediculously nice, after playing another hour set for maybe 20 of us at 5am, when he was done at 6am he proceeded to start cleaning up the place! I was talking with him for a bit and he played two beastie remixes, one of which I had heard, Junkie XL Fight for Your Right and one I hadn't. The One I hadn't was by a guy named Michael DeKay and apparently Mark says hes the shiznizzle right now so i got a bunch of his stuff and it is indeed the shiznizzlest.
So yeah that was a really awesome time, Saturday night they played some poker that I sat out since it was for money, and I suck at poker :) but j-bomb won 40 bucks and sood won 65 which they promptly spent on beer.
All in all a good time.
