So I picked up the keys to my new apartment in August 2021. At that point, I was ready to kick-off the home renovations. Key collection on a Tuesday, and apartment handed over to my ID on the following Saturday.
My ID was a dream to work with. He really settled everything for me, and put my vision into reality. When it all came together, I just told myself "this is all exactly how I imagined it to turn out".
I would consider the move-in date officially to be on Saturday 13 November 2021, which was the day I arranged for the movers to shift over the bulk of the things. Something I did not arrange for before move-in date, was to have store-room racks installed. I had all my boxes strewn everywhere in my tiny apartment for nearly a week before I managed to get someone to place in metal shelving racks.
All I need to do now, is to unpack the contents of the boxes....lol
It has been 6 months since I moved in officially, and living alone certainly has it's ups and downs. I am enjoying the freedom and privacy immensely. Also, having people over for soirees has been a real joy.
I have been toying with the idea of getting a cat, but am quite unsure if I am up for the task and responsibility. We shall see.
I have lived on my own before when I was a student abroad. I think that experience has definitely helped me pull through this stage of my life. What I really hate about it, is that I have to clean the apartment myself! The past 6 months has been cute, but I think I am ready to look for a part-time helper.
