my new life
this will be my first real update in a while, but hey why the heck not, i got stuff to write about.
so yeah those are the pictures of my new place. I LOVE IT! you love it too. you atleast have to love my shower curtain. deren and sean picked it out for me. deren and i moevd everything in there on sunday. what a long day! i got 3 hours of sleep the night before, then had to get up to go get our uhaul. we moved all my stuff, then moved deren's stuff into his new place. then i had to put together all my shit from ikea, which is fun because its kinda like playing with huge leggos. but it took 5 hours to get it all together. yeah, i got a lot of shit from ikea. i basically live in an ikea showcase. and i went to target 3 times in 24 hours because i kept thinking of more and more stuff i need. its a good thing i get paid tips now, because i would have had no money this weekend otherwise. now i have a 2 dollar bill, which is all my spending money unitl i get paid tomorrow. but lets get back to my apartment; its amazing. all to myself. oh wait, not quite. nevel and i happily share it. i think he likes it too, he's been doing a lot of exporing and looking around. the neighborhood i live in is super nice too. well, atleast nicer than where i was. people are like oh no, franklin ave is a bad area. and i'm like nah, north mpls was a bad area, this is alright. i live by a lot of friends now too. fuck, i live by everything. 2 minutes from downtown and my valet job, 5 minutes from uptown, 15 from the U. i've basically been wanting this since february and now i finally have it, go me!
the new job is going well too. doing valet is fun, interesting, and at times hard on the legs. i think i just need to get used to running instead of biking, but for now my calfs get super sore. before i got this job i was hoping to get somethign where i could make some money, and it seems like i have. on saturday i worked a party/fundraiser downtown. it was a hosted party so i was getting paid 10.25 an hour (we worked 9 hours) plus i made 75 in tips! its cool driving really nice cars.
in other news falling on my bike on the way to work this morning isn't fun.
