ok, so i was going to quit updating this. pretty sure no one reads it. but i'm too excited to not post right now!
you know Rift magazine? probably not. but its a small magazine in minneapolis about the local music scene. except all the cover is the indie stuff, what i call "uptown bands". shit that goes down at places like bryant lake bowl, first ave, uptown bar, etc. i dont have anythign against all that, but its ALL that Rift covers. so i wrote the publisher and was like "you should cover the emo/punk scene more, there are bands out there like small towns, semester, etc that are drawing hundreds of kids to shows that you don't even mention". and then i said i woudl be happy to write a piece for them or a column or whatever.
and he wrote back and said that was fine, so i think i'll have something in the next issue of Rift! an article, by me, with pictures and all that jazz.
