1 Km/h of freedom

Starting tomorrow, children in Spain will be able to go out for 1 hour as far as 1 Km from their homebase with 1 parent between 9:00 and 21:00. Maximum people together are 1 parent + 3 children. At first, my husband went out to hunt... erm... shop. But after not finding simple things like bananas or avocados in three different supermarkets, we decided to stop risking it. You can get almost everything online: Amazon Prime Now is a great service which is covering for all those supermarket chains that are not available online anymore due to the high demand (online queues of up to 4-5 hours just to shop online, with a countdown! Deliveries available two or three weeks later, and so on!). But I also try to support local providers when buying fresh produce like fruit, veggies and meat. Of course, I always try to buy as many things as possible at one single time, so as not to waste the courier's efforts and health hazards. This has been quite the online shopping revolution for many Spaniards.

We are living in an apocalyptic world, we are! It doesn't sink in.

...I am beginning to fear this will be the new normal for a while. I try not to stress about it until there is a good reason biting my ass. Otherwise, I'd go crazy.

It is not mandatory for little kids here, either, but it is always preferable. I think at certain ages the masks make them touch their own faces more, making it more dangerous.

Lucky you! I dont't know about food, but everything takes forever to ship from Amazon or they contact you after a week to say they can't ship at all. Fun times. :(
But I hear you. I also stopped hunting for specific things and have just gotten more creative with things that are available. :)

It will be the new normal. Just that every few weeks rules and situations will change and we just continously have to accept and adapt. The unemployment rate will get bigger and bigger and thus criminals will arise. I'm worried about that ....
