CINEMA
♥ The Wolfman: Benicio Del Toro barely had to act to fit in his role. Anthony Hopkins is fine, but I went to see it for Hugo Weaving, whom I adore, and who is here again a (Scotland Yard) Agent: "Mr. Talbot..." Heh. The movie was OK, but just that.
♥ Shutter Island: I decided to watch it on a whim and enjoyed it a lot, much more than I expected. DiCaprio IS a good actor, indeed. Don't let anybody spoil the movie for you!
♥ Agora: Religions are evil in the hands of the angry mobs. True piety is in the heart of wise women who are mother and sister of everyone, and lover of no one but Philosophy. I was not planning on watching it until it came out on DVD but I liked Shutter Island so much that I decided to watch another movie on the same cinema and day. I liked it as well, it has good characters, with Hypatia at the core and top.

♥ Casablanca: I knew all the famous lines but I had never watched the actual movie. It deserves all the praise. The exchanges between Rick (Bogart) and Captain Renault are priceless from the beginning to the very famous END. Some quotes:
Ilsa: Who is Rick?
Captain Renault: Mamoiselle, you are in Rick's! And Rick is...
Ilsa: Who is he?
Captain Renault: Well, Rick is the kind of man that... well, if I were a woman, and I were not around, I should be in love with Rick. But what a fool I am talking to a beautiful woman about another man.
Captain Renault: [to Rick regarding Ilsa] She was asking about you earlier in a way that made me very jealous...
Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?
Captain Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!
[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]
Croupier: Your winnings, sir.
Captain Renault: [sotto voce] Oh, thank you very much.
[aloud]
Captain Renault: Everybody out at once!
Rick: And remember, this gun is pointed right at your heart.
Captain Renault: That is my *least* vulnerable spot.
Captain Renault: Ricky, I'm going to miss you. Apparently you're the only one in Casablanca with less scruples than I.
Merece la pena verla en versión original por los acentazos que tienen unos y otros de cada país. ¡Se pierde totalmente en el doblaje en castellano!
