So it reached FandomWank. And looking at the sccaped pages after a 12-hour sleep, those threads of comments read like some Monty Python's movie credits: "A moose once bit my sister. It was pretty nasty." Replace moose with n00b or whatever you want to call it. Also, certain patrol-person, who was incomprenhensibly trying to put some common sense ( Read more... )

I didn't get to read what they said of you, as I only got to the first, maybe second page of the thing before going to bed, and the next morning it had disappeared and all that was left was what people were posting about it. The aftermath of the explosion.

It's the cowardice of the PERSONAL attacks what made me so angry. I mean, it was kind of fun while it was "I am tired of TezuFuji" "Katsu no wa Hyoutei" "Rokkaku, Yamabuki and Fudomine deserve more love", because aside from being truth ::ahem::, that's what it should be about. I know it sounds childish, in a way, BUT I don't think people sounded more mature whatsoever by directing the hate towards real people. It's bad when someone gets worked up about fictional characters, particularly Jr. High students and their love-sex life, but downright immature and coward when people attack real people anonymously. Moreover if, like you say, they know who they insult and are afraid to say stuff straight to their faces.

I guess that when you are the part insulted, it's hard to resist not responding, the same as people whose friends have been affected cannot help talking about it. In a way, after the angry waves have worn off, people are taking it much better. Nevertheless, the best course of action is to forget about it altogether.

I agree. The whole "opinionated" thread was okay (I even agreed with some) when it actually involved the show and the characters, but when they were bitching about people? That was just sad.

That's how this things always end, after all, and why they should never be started in the first place.
I love your icons, btw. Each and every one of them.
