Reading, writing, rambling

I posted this on my new LJ and figured since I've had entries disappear, that I would also post it here.

I've had monster headaches, which isn't new.  In the past few years, I've had my neck broken, I had four strokes, I learned that my spine was twisted like a pretzel, and my allergies got worse.  Not to mention the fact that my grandson got kicked out of school for misbehavior, so now he's misbehaving at home 24/7.  I have been homeschooling him, which isn't easy because there isn't enough glue in the world to keep that little ass in his seat.

He's not dumb.  He's extremely smart, but he's so unorganized and full of shit that it becomes a struggle to gain his concentration.  We finished first grade studies in September and to give him (and myself) a break, I made November 2 our first day for his second grade studies. I planned to get some writing done during our break, but the headaches have been detrimental in too many ways.

Today, though, I've actually written about a thousand words so far, and if Joseph will behave and play his damn video games a little longer, I'll get more written.  I'm currently working on Mirror Twins 3 for Shadowfire Press, and as soon as it's done, I'm going to work on my colorbox story for Torquere Press.  Recently, I've had 2 stories accepted - Mirror Twins 2 (Shadowfire Press) and a wrestling anthology story (Unbranded Press E-books).

My reading schedule has dwindled down to hardly anything lately.  I LOVE to read, but things just haven't gone well enough lately.  Some happy day in my near future, I'm going to get out of bed pain-free, sit down and read a couple of good stories and review them here.  Like everybody, we're experiencing money problems, so I haven't bought anything new for a while, and it'll probably be a while longer.  Bills keep getting higher but the wages never increase.

Hugs all around!  I'm off to try to write another thousand words!
