Growing older

Most of you know that friday was my birthday, historically it has never been a "good day", most years have ended in some mishap or SNAFU causing me to l;earn to avoid it and the concept of celebrating it at all. This year proved to be the exception, after what can mildly put as a tumultuous year my BD went smoothly, sleeping in, a bit of execise helping Aaron, home to read a bit help with the boys halloween efforts, and out to dinner with Shel to a japanese steak house. The steak house was a new one out this way, the cook could use some practice but the food was excellant. my steak damn near moo'd (the other patrons were a bit green about how rare I like my steak but the cook warmed it and served without comment. Happy cat!

Reflecting on this last year, This has been a year of drastic changes for me, I am still seeking the lessons that have been presented me. I find that the change of pace and priorities very odd. I now spend much of my time watching Aaron working stone and helping occasionally, spending time with the boys, and contimplating the many things that I have done over the years. I never spent much time reflecting, being too busy living my life instead. Maybe now I am supposed to examine it before starting off again.

I want to take a moment to thank those who wished me well on my birthday and also to thank those that have shared thier lives with me. You have given me the most precious gift anyone can, Your Time. So to all of you, the celebration of my birthday is more a chance to say thankyou to you all for a rich and wonderful year. I hope to have many more with you all.

Love and Laughter

Rich
