Well although I am on tumblr and twitter, I do miss the format of LJ and how much more adult/mature this place can be,with at least a proper conversation.

It's nice to see you posting an update here.
Plus everyone on tumblr whines about being old before they're 30 which is funny the first time but after that, not so much.

I remember whining a little bit when I turned 30. Sounds kind of silly now! Thirties were great!

I don't go to tumblr much because it seems never ending, and there's so much pretty that I would have trouble getting anything else done. At least with LJ you have to think and compose. Ah well, glad there are a few of us still around. But it seems the more quiet I am, the more apt I am to stay quiet. I've been feeling shy this last year and so haven't posted, plus not much fannish stuff to post about anyway.

It doesn't help that at least 50% of tumblr seem to be around 13yrs old. The place is a real time suck, so I got to work on xkit blacklist and threw in a ton of key words so my dash was more manageable. I skipped past all the shows/people that I didn't want to see.

Unfortunately posters don't tag their rants with 'whining' otherwise I'd do that too.

I noticed that LJ has perked up a little over the last few months. which is good. And don't be shy we love to hear from you. I take it you're not vidding right now?

Nope, I am not vidding now. I haven't vidded in years. I wouldn't say that I'll never do it again, though. You just never know. I still have ideas that I haven't tried out. It doesn't help, though, when I see videos posted on LJ and they're getting very little feedback. Guess we'll see what the future brings.

Sad to hear that you're not vidding right now. Hopefully you'll get some inspiration sometime soon.

LJ used to be the best place to announce/showcase new vids, now I am lucky if I get one comment. It can be very disheartening.

I've always vidded to share my excitement about something and see how others react to it. If there are no reactions or not many of them, it's a sign that I wont be doing it much longer. It's always been the 'way I roll'. It's not fun for me to vid just for myself. :\ That was a big reason to why I stopped.

I think tumblr responds quite well to vids in new or current fandoms - some of the very latest shows seem to always get a good reblog rate - but there's very little in the way of discussion.

But the older shows that are now finished, not so much.
