Oooh shiny day
Oh LJ, it's been too long. I've been wanting to post for ages, but can't usually come up with anything fun or interesting. Guess I'll just give a little update on me. I'm really not crazy about Birthdays but then labsquint reminded me that having a birthday is better than the alternative. She really knows how to put things into perspective.
I woke up today to two cute cards from my sons wishing me a Happy Birthday. Hugs and smiles and melting hearts. ♥ Am planning on visiting a furniture store today to see if I can get a deal on a couch. Mine is now like 12 years old, has cat scratches on the side and... well, it's done. So, I'm excited to go and have a look and hopefully get one. Other RL stuff, my eldest son has been invited to do Special Olympics so I'm excited. It's in May. I also just found out that my 21 year old nephew (whom we gave the car to a couple of years ago) has been in and out of jail and is doing drugs. I can't tell you how much this breaks my heart. I'm not really surprised that he's following in his mom's footsteps but am incredibly sad about it. I can't help but feel I am partly to blame even though that's ridiculous. :(
Been working and it seems like every day is full of *something*. How do I get back to where I used to be, when I could sit at the comp making graphics? Too much busy! I am going to make animations from the 100th ep of Bones. I already have a bunch planned out. Now have to find the time to work on them.
Speaking of Bones 5x16, WASN'T IT GORGEOUS??! Beautiful story and execution. I didn't know that Hart had it in him. I don't know if it's my favorite episode.. maybe it is. I still have a HUGE soft spot for Aliens in a Spaceship. I am quite excited that we got a past kiss w/lots of flirting, and now we have a REAL kiss that hopefully does change their relationship. Obviously Brennan loves Booth but she's scared of not loving him in 10, 20 years or is afraid that he wont love her in that time. It's understandable, in her position. I can't wait to see that wall break down. LOVE THIS SHOW.
I've also been watching Parenthood and I love it to pieces. I just thought I'd check it out a few weeks ago and I'm so glad that I did. I think that all parents should check it out and all people who really know me should check it out. It's very close to my heart with some of it's issues. More later on that since no time now.
I am late on watching Smallville and Legend of the Seeker and really late on watching How I Met Your Mother. Also am kind of stalled on the end of S5's LOST but I'm sure I'll get back to watching it when I get some more guts. *wibble*. Watched DW 5x01 last night... and fell asleep in the middle somewhere. Whoops.
I will try to post more stuff here so these aren't so damn long. Thanks for the birthday wishes today from so many. Hope you all have a BEAUTIFUL Sunday!
