I just got this email from my mom.
Hello Everyone,
Hope this message finds you and yours well and happy.
I'm coming to you with a very much needed prayer request for a dear friend of my brother's. Her name is Michelle and she and her husband both used to work for Chuck (my brother).
Michelle was in a traffic accident today. Her SUV was crushed by a truck. Her spinal cord was severed at the base of her skull. She is aware, but unable to communicate. Basically, she is locked up in her own mind and unable to move. She and her husband, Derrick, have three small children, the oldest of whom is about 2 years old. No one knows what may happen with her. Chuck is trying to help Derrick with contacting Patricia Neal Center and other clinics to see what can be done, what might help.
Please, remember this family in your prayers. They are in desperate need of it right now. No matter what your religion, your belief or your lifestyle, you can all identify with them. How ever you seek help from your creator, be it prayer, meditation or candle burning, please help. I know they can count on you. I will try to keep you updated as I know more.

It's times like this that I feel selfish for worrying about stupid things like my final tomorrow, or finishing packing Chris's room tonight.
