On behalf of dea_liberty , I am pleased to announce the opening of the 2010 Leverage Gift Exchange.

Won't the time until the season premiere on 20 June just fly if you're working on a fic/art/vid gift? :) Whether you're a writer, an artist, a graphics artist or a vidder, you're free to join in the fun and celebrate the show. The more participants, the better ( Read more... )

This is something that I went back and forth on. The poll that I did to gauge interest in an exchange had very mixed results regarding length. In the end, I decided not to post a hard-and-fast word count limit, but would say that common sense and the Golden Rule should apply. You probably would feel a bit ticked off if you spent hours on a fic and only got a drabble in return, you know?

That said, if you're looking for a rough guideline, I'd say that between 500-1000 words is a reasonable length.

Hope you're able to participate. And thank you for thinking so carefully about it. People like you make mods like me very happy. :)

I'd consider it, but there's basically no f/f showing so far, either for giving or receiving, and that's all I'd want to write/receive.

Right, I know a couple of f/f writers did take the poll and might still sign up, so the best I can say is check back closer to the close of sign-ups and see how things look for you. Also, if you can think of any way to publicize the exchange to femslash writers who'd be interested in it, please let me know.

I'll consider that, but given the relative dearth of people willing to read/write f/f so far, I'm seriously doubting that there will be much change in this.

I'd suggest giving more "airplay" to the whole idea of femslash for future exchanges. If those of us that write/read femslash and watch Leverage look and don't EASILY see that we're welcome to an exchange, we're not going to give it a second glance.

Okay, this is my first time moderating an exchange, so I'm still learning as I go. I'll definitely take that advice to heart for next time, if there is a next time. :)
