Nathan Ford has a good idea of what Eliot did in that warehouse and that the hitter was blocking the pain well enough to fool the other members of the team. He turned his eyes to glance at Eliot who had his eyes closed, legs straight in front on him and his arms crossed against his chest. He looked like was sleeping peacefully, but Nate had seen the muscles in his legs and arms twitch. Later, Nate thought, there would time for him to take care of Eliot.

When they landed back in Boston, Eliot had collected his luggage and left, not saying a word to any of them. Nate had dealt with all the questions Sophie, Hardison and Parker had tossed at him on the ride from airport. He practically ordered them to leave Eliot alone, before getting out of the cab and going inside.

He waited almost four hours before heading to Eliot's place, using his key, he let himself inside. He finds Eliot sprawled across the bed, his clothes and boots still on, sleeping. Glancing around the room, he sees the bottle of pills and glass of water on the bedside table. Picking up the bottles, he reads the labels, one was Relafen, the other Skelaxin. Setting the bottles back down he turns toward the younger man and begins to undress him, the boots going first.

He is in the process of divesting the hitter of his jeans, when the silence is broken by a pained gasp from Eliot.

"Sorry, El." Nate says soothingly, trying to not show his distress at the bruises on the hitters legs. "I've almost got them off."

“Hey,” Eliot whispers as his eyes flutter open and Nate's blurry features swim into view. "What are ya doing here?"

Dropping the jeans on the floor, Nate looks at Eliot, "Taking care of you."'

Eliot furrows his brow in confusion, "I'm fine."

"Of course you are, that's why you gasped in pain." Nate replies gently like he is talking to a child.

Eliot sees the smug look on Nate's face and wants to protest the patronizing tone, but realizes that he's actually glad to see Nathan, not that he's going to tell him that.

Nate's fingers are undoing the buttons on his shirt. When they are all undone, Eliot tries to sit up so that Nate can finish removing the shirt, but his body protests angrily, causing him to hiss in pain. As he rolls up Eliot's undershirt, it's then that he notices a few more bruises on his torso. As he drops the undershirt on the floor, Nate realizes his hands are shaking.

“Hey,” Eliot says, reaching out and taking hold of Nate's hand. "You knew I had done work for Moreau in my past, didn't you?"

Caught off guard, Nate stammered, "Yeah, I knew. It's my job to know. Just as it's your job to get us out when it all falls to pieces, but, I knew that ... no, I trusted you to tells us yourself. I knew it had to be that way."

Eliot nodded slightly, "Thanks, for that and for not judging me."

Nate placed his hand over Eliot's, "I would never do that to you, not intentionally. I know that you are a good man, that you are the best at what you do and that does not come without a price, Eliot. Even I know that."

Feeling choked with emotions, Eliot pulled Nate in close to him, hissing slightly at the pain and wrapped his arms around him. Nate holds himself stiffly, before laying back and tugging so that Eliot's body is resting against his.

“I'm okay. Been hurt much worse before, ya know." Eliot mutters in his ear, and Nathan wants to laugh at that because he’s supposed to be taking care of Eliot, not the other way around, but Eliot lifts his head up with two fingers under Nathan’s chin, and leans in for a kiss.

Later, they're both under the covers, wrapped up in each other, when he hears Eliot mumble sleepily, "Thanks for taking care of me." He smiles slightly and rolls over to face Eliot, pulling the covers higher around them both.
