Have you ever read about the internet ad-campaign for AI (the movie with Haley Joel Osment)? These kinds of ad-campaigns can get pretty complicated and involved with their clues and puzzles and such. The simplest explanations are not necessarily the right ones in this case.

Check out cloudmakers.org. I stumbled across it a couple months ago, and was fascinated by the whole thing.

Wow, you're right, these things can get complicated! Looking at AI, though, it seem s to me that all these websites did was deepen one's understand of the world that the movie takes place in. They don't actually reveal the plot of the movie very easily. (Which also makes me think that we're not going to get far with the JJ Abrams project.) It's funny how much I like AI and how much time I spent on the internet when it was released, but I never knew about this ad campaign. Thanks for the info.

That and cause a small-but-dedicated fan base to become completely obsessed with everything about the movie. Uncovering hidden information is an honored and ancient geek pastime.
