(no subject)
I was supposed to go see American Gangster today, but we didn't make it to the theater in time thanks to construction and ended up seeing Gone Baby Gone instead (I just couldn't convince the person I was with to see 30 Days of Night...hmm...)
Anyhow, it's a good movie.
Possibly not a "rush out and see it at the theaters!" movie, but a good one none-the-less. It evokes a lot of emotion in a very short span of time, and it does it well. I spent a lot of the movie being very tense, a portion of it being down-right disgusted and a fair share of it being just a little bit heart-broken.
I do have to say, I prefer Ben Affleck behind the camera instead of in front of it.
