...I think Russian children must get very confused with these "Learn the Alphabet" cards. The animals are so overly stylized that I can not even tell what they are until I find the word in the dictionary ;)

Я думаю, у детей другое восприятие, им не важно что изображено. Главное - яркий и запоминающийся образ. Хотя в большинстве случаев изображения действительно могли бы быть получше.

То есть будут ли дети, выросшие на подобных вещах, правильно воспринимать окружающую реальность? Думаю, проблемы вполне могут быть, к сожалению. Хотя тут скорее вопрос воспитания.
