Wings of the Muslim Brotherhood

I've posted here before, to a certain amount of objection, that organizations like Hamas and Fatah and CAIR and al Qaida are franchises of the "non-violent" Muslim Brotherhood.

Not exactly. Islam has three holy works: the Qur'an, al Hadith and Sunnah. These are, approximately, the dictation of the Angel Gabriel, the collection of stories about Muhammad, and a smaller collection of his sayings. The last two overlap -- and especially the Hadith differ between Shi'a and Sunni Muslims ( ... )

Interesting elaborations.. thanks!

Summarizing, would you say that Islam is the only (or largest) religion in our current age that advocates killing for minor offenses (based on our constitutional rights) or for simply existing? Or is it just Muslim extremists, as many contend?

There are eight thousand or so religions on the planet. Islam is the only major one that meets the criteria of advocating (in its founding documents) that its members kill members of other faiths, but there are strange ones indeed on the fringes ( ... )

Your point on this and all the above is well-taken. Certainly fringe elements have used a number of religions (eg: fascists) to justify killings and killing sprees. It's just a shame that in the new millennium, we still haven't reached a collective threshold of intelligence and compassion to overcome such blights.
