The interview between Katie Couric and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice was interesting. Secretary Rice kept her calm demeanor while Ms. Couric started out with a falsehood and then insisted on that Sec. Rice say what would have happened if she'd known earlier what she knew later:
I saw an amusing comment to this: "Condi should have asked Katie whether, if she'd known her ratings were going to be in the toilet, she'd have still moved to be an anchor at CBS."
And yet Sec. Rice answered the question. Later, there was a point that Sec. Rice almost made but didn't -- no matter whether you thought it would take one year or five hers for Hussein to build nuclear weapons, he'd have long since had them by now. We know he was insistent on it, and waiting for the sanctions to be lifted -- and the FRoGs (French, Russia, others including China, and Germany) were pushing to weaken or lift the sanctions. The dozens of illegal biolabs we found within weeks of our arrival in 2003 were not encouraging.
If you think Ahmadinejad is crazy, wait till you get a load of Saddam Hussein with a nuclear weapon -- and terrorist friends to deliver it for him.
