Here's the 1950 recording of "Destination Moon" by Nat King Cole. It came out a few months after the movie.

And here is Deborah Cox performing the same piece in a studio a couple of years ago.

Also, the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" featured Dinah Washington's version of the same song in the trailer.
