To me, the Jihadist War started on February 26, 1993, with the bombing of the World Trade Center. More than a thousand were injured; six died.

Maybe spare a thought for those who weren't American but affected by these trageties.

Indeed -- you'll note that the "thousands of innocent victimes" were not identified as only Americans. Most of the victims of the jihadists are Muslim.

It has been the jihadists' practice in Iraq to focus their attacks on innocent civilians. This is reprehensible to all right-thinking people -- but to them it is merely a tactic.

I'm moderately familiar with Qutb's Milestones. Are you suggesting that:
-- he did not have a large impact on the Muslim Brotherhood?
-- he did not have a large impact on the thinking of Zawahiri and bin Ladin?

I reject the notion of "social justice" being brought about by targeting civilians to make a point. But "Milestones" and other MB-related works make clear: their goal is not "social justice" but a global caliphate under Shari'a law.

In their system, women (as they proudly prioclaim) would be completely subjugated, and all freedoms massively curtailed. How does this translate to "social justice" -- itself a Western concept?
