I've written many times about my admiration and affection for certain Noble Webcomic Females.

This list started out with Mopsy, the pooka that takes care of the gang from Never Never, and Florence Ambrose, who keeps the ship together in Freefall.

Shortly thereafter, Tavatiana, the premier of Canovia from Gene Catlow joined this list, and then

Also, I'm somewhat embarrassed. Although I obviously have not met any of you (level_head, lady_anne, makovette, rowyn, or the artists) in RL, I kept on dithering regarding whether to "jump in" (or not, as I actually did not).

I've found that jumping in is the only way to get your feet wet :)

I live two counties south of Olathe in the KCK area: relatively close to rowyn. Looking northwards, anything south of 110th St. Kansas-side is a very reasonable drive (<1 hour).

Linn Valley. (LJ is scrambled by their reverse-ZIP lookup: that kicks out La Cygne. Only 15 minutes of driving off.)

Think U.S. 69, rather than the Kansas Turnpike. While there's a somewhat direct turnoff now, the road crews are going to remove that within a few years.

That was the kicker here -- I had never met Rowyn in real life myself! And Mako is also an excellent friend that I first encountered in an online forum a couple of years ago.

Some of your online correspondents are "friends you haven't met yet" ... and some are stranger. ];-)
