Just got Lucinda William's Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. I've decided to start buying copies of CDs that I know I love. I could just swipe them from someone or download them, but I really do like having physical copies of certain albums. Also ordered Franz Ferdinand's You Could Have it So Much Better, since I've been listening to it from Carol's iTunes for the last several days.
Also will be receiving issue 12 of McSweeney's Quarterly Concern--it's about time I stop admiring this publication from a distance and start reading the damn thing.
Saw the Illusionist Friday night. Liked it despite the fact that the ending (including the music) seemed to rip off the Usual Suspects. Thanks to Philip Glass for providing the score. Edward Norton's character reminded me of my last boyfriend, but not in a bad way.
Strange question: does anyone own a copy of Saw II that they'd be willing to loan me? Housemate Wayne and I have decided (after one psychologically scarring viewing of Saw) that we want to watch the sequel so's that we can go and watch Saw III on the big screen together. Wee.
