Markoolio & Linda Bengtzing: "Värsta schlagern"Äh, tämä on taas näitä päiviä, kun on niin paljon, mitä pitäisi tehdä, mutta heti aamulla herätessään tietää, ettei tule saamaan aikaiseksi yhtään mitään. Sama pätee joissain määrin blogaamiseenkin: erehdyin nimittäin vilkaisemaan laatulehdistön uutistarjontaa Ilta-Sanomien, Iltalehden, Expressenin, ( Read more... )

That's so sad, about the 13-year-old dad - he just looks so small, and young, and lost. He really does look like he's about eight, like the article said - it just seems so incongruous and wrong to think about him being a dad. It just creeps me out to think about a 12-year-old having sex, period. Ugh.

I agree with you about the abortion thing, by the way, and I don't think pro-life necessarily means anti-choice - my husband puts it this way: "Sure, I'm 'pro-choice'...I believe that it's a person's right to make the choice whether or not to have unprotected sex. And then if they do consciously make that choice, then they'd better be prepared to face the responsibility that could come with it - abortion is just a complete denial of that responsibility."

Of course in cases like rape, incest, endangerment of the mother's life...those are completely different matters, because the circumstances are totally out of the mother's control. But even with rape and incest, there are so many loving, childless couples who would gladly adopt those babies in a heartbeat...that sort of subject matter is really delicate for a lot of people, though, so I probably shouldn't go there.

I like your husband's way of thinking. Here, we haven't really had abortion discussions to the extent you Americans have, and the general opinion seems to be that abortions are quite okay. It bugs me to no end. Nevertheless, abortions after the pregnancy week 12 require a super-special circumstances, but they are absolutely and totally forbidden after the week 20, if I have understood it correctly. Someone said something about abortions up to the week 24, but I do doubt that. I mean... well, you know emiiiilia and her little Sigrid who was born in the week 24, right? The whole idea of aborting babies that developed - ugh.

... I was not going to start ranting again. How did that happen? :D I kind of agree with the adoption thing, although I know I wouldn't be able to give the bundle away after carrying it for nine months or so, even if I had been raped or something. I'm a selfish little bugger. :D
