Some people think it weird, but I don't like to listen to music out loud. Even when I was living in a three-bedroom house by myself, I almost always listened to my music through headphones.
I just don't like the sound of music through speakers. I think it has something to do with background noise. I hate hearing anything else when I'm listening to music. Any outside noise, even as minor as the sound of my pants rustling as I shift position in my chair, bothers me.
Perhaps this is the reason I've somehow come to own four portable CD players (Discmen, I guess you'd call them) and three sets of headphones. The middle-left drawer in my bureau contains nothing but the portable CD players and various headphone sets, AC adaptors, portable speaker sets, and batteries.
Yet somehow, through all this, I can't find the pause button on the CD player I'm currently using. I'm becoming convinced that it actually doesn't have one.
Most captivating post ever.
I recently checked
this out from work. I don't really know how much I want to read it, but I'll read a few chapters and decide whether or not to finish it. I'm fascinated by the American high school experience... so it grabbed my attention. We'll see.
I really should be in bed.
