I have something to say.
Livejournal is bullshit.
You can't say anything that you are actually thinking or feeling because it invariably involves the people who will read about it. Assuming you have something actually interesting to say other than what a great friend so-and-so is, it's going to be awkwardly indirect to write something about them that you would not tell them. And if they are a great friend, then fucking tell them so.
Believe you me, I have tons and tons of incredible things to say based on the absolutely enthralling neverending series of events in my life right now. But the sad thing is, you can't know about it. It probably involves you.
So in other words, the things you can say on livejournal aren't worth saying because they are accessible to everyone who shouldn't be reading about it, while the things you can't say on livejournal--again, for the slow, everything worth saying--negate the purpose of there being a livejournal.
